Gifts of Securities include any donation of stocks, bonds and/or mutual funds. In many instances, a stock gift, as opposed to a gift of cash, can be more beneficial to you and the organization you are giving to. Please consult your tax advisor for more details.
There are two ways to donate stock
1. If your shares are held in a brokerage account:
- Complete the printable Letter of Instruction form.
- Send the form to your broker.
- Inform us that you are making this gift by contacting Marsha Ackerlund via email, or by phone at (503) 628-0917.
2. If your shares are held in your possession:
- Complete the printable Irrevocable Stock or Bond Power form.
- Send, or bring the stock certificates and signed forms to: Veritas School If you choose to deliver them by mail, please mail the unsigned stock certificates and the completed forms in different envelopes for your protection.
